“Shaping tomorrow together: insights from experience” was the name of the symposium sponsored by Gilead in the first day of INHSU 2018. The symposium discussed the key barriers that prevent people who use drugs (PUWD) from engaging with HCV care and focused on how the route to cure can be simplified. The session also highlighted the importance of collaboration between multiple stakeholders in achieving HCV elimination and explored how best to drive improvements in all aspects of healthcare and wellbeing for people who use drugs. In an interview to News Farma, Alain Litwin, session chair, synthethized the main conclusions of this symposium.
