To do a laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Ambulatory Surgery without overnight stay there are some aspects that need to be taken into account. Giving the example of her service, in the Oporto University Hospital Center, nurse Maria José Crista says that usually their patients have overnight “because they are operated in the afternoon”. However, the procedure doesn’t always have to be like this.
