“Ambulatory Surgery is the future of Surgery”

One of the guests of the opening ceremony of the 13th International Association for Ambulatory Surgery Congress (IAAS) was Prof. Raquel Duarte. In the Secretary of State of Health’s perspective, “Ambulatory Surgery is definitely the future of Surgery”, since it presents “obvious clinical advantages”. Besides the “less infectious diseases and the much quicker recovery”, “there’s also an “increase of the efficiency of the whole system”. Watch the video of the interview.
